Custom Avatar (18A)

My customer avatar is a woman who came from another country while carrying her second child. When she arrived she got a college degree in the USA and then got a job to ease the burden of her husband and to enrich the lives of her two children. She has learned the necessities of everyday life such as learning when someone is trying to rip you off or whether the deal is fishy. Later on in her life she discovers the benefits of real estate and decided to get a second job based around real estate. When she isn't taking care of her family, she likes to watch dramas from her origin country, have some girl time with her friends, exercise, and generally plan her next move. She is a hard working individual who likes to teach her kids the skills she has gathered and the wisdom she has learned over the past 55 years. She feels like she is 70 years old when she is actually 15 years younger. She is always encouraging her children to get married and have kids so she can see her grandchildren. Wh...

Know Thyself (16A)

Five ways I am unique: 1. I believe that I am sociable and can adapt to any conversation when meeting someone. 2. I believe that I am reliable within subjects I am comfortable in and if not, try to understand it before giving up. 3. I believe that I am honest with what I say 4. I will not pursue in anything I don't have interest in at all 5.I can persevere when the situation calls for it. Interviews: 1. My first interviewee saw me as a generous person who will help others if I can. He said he viewed me as a person of reliability. 2. My second interviewee said something similar. He said that I am the person he goes to whenever he needs help with something. 3. The third interviewee saw me as an honest character who wouldn't tell lies to them therefore he can be honest with me. 4. The fourth one said that she knows that I am a character of honesty and reliability as sometimes I put my own needs in front of mine. 5. The final interviewee says that I am a sociable guy wh...

Figuring out Buyer Behavior (15A)

I interviewed three random students who inspire to start their businesses soon or already have already started their business. What I found was a variety of answers of what buyers are looking for when they pick. For one, the price of the business starter would be the most important because one doesn't want the price be the reason for a long term debt with the bank. On the other hand, the student who already started his own stated that what he looks for in a product is its quality because he wants to know that the product is both reliable and long lasting. The last student also agreed that the quality is the most important and his reasoning was that price doesn't matter so long as the product is worth it. After hearing these replies, I wasn't surprised to hear their responses in what they look for when they acquire the product except for the one who viewed price as an important factor when looking. He responded that he looks for the quality of the item. The other two respond...

1. Stay alert to your time. Do not procrastinate and always read what the assignment is otherwise you'll know when it is too late. 2.There were plenty of times when I thought about giving up but the people around me helped me up. Socialize with people especially with people who share the same class as you or have similar circumstances because they know what you are going through and what the struggles are. It always help to know that you have someone to talk to. 3. Understand your weaknesses and make them into strengths. I know it sounds cheesy but it really helps because understanding your cons can then be made into pros. It's always good fail once in awhile so long as you learn from it. Nobody is perfect no matter how it looks to be.

1. One thing that surprised me when reading about Ray Kroc was his inability to give up on his ambitions. His adamant behavior in business is a admirable quality of his for it shows that once he has a goal in mind, he won't stop until he achieves it. Seeing McDonalds as a potential business to expand across the nation, he set out a goal to acquire the small business chain at all costs. His ability to then acquire the required funds to do so was extraordinary to me as well because of short amount it took to accumulate the money. He did have flaws such as not trusting others, acting aggressive to those who don't agree with him, but I have more admiration than disappointment for a man of his caliber. 2. Ray Kroc was a competent man with the ability to identify opportunity, intelligent, hard working, and very tenacious with his ambitions. 3. There was nothing in the book  Grinding It Out: The Making of McDonald’s, Ray Kroc that I found confusing or require further questioning due...

Buyer Behavior(12A)

Segment: Aspiring business owners/ Three students aspiring to own their own business. Summary of interviews: All of them agreed that there is a need for help to start their own businesses, however their main concern was the practicality of my idea because of the amount of capital this would take and whose capital would be used to start the businesses of clients. They also would need a site to pick out, advertisement done, and trustworthy employees to hire. They all do not look for solutions as they do not yet have the experience nor the knowledge to start their own business just yet. My conclusion is that my segment does understand the need for help to start businesses but yet are skeptical and concerned about how they would start their business.

Napkin Idea (11A)

My name is Eric Si and I would like to consider myself as a fast learner, problem solver, and social guy who likes to get as many friends as possible. The original ideas is to jump start businesses around the Gainesville area so that it may expand and increase the quality of life. I would need many specialists and trustworthy people who can help me understand how businesses expand and how would we be able to achieve the goal and starting business ideas of the population. The ability to read the economy and understand the demand for a business idea and to monitor financial statuses of businesses established by us is an important skill set that I would need for a business such as mine. My customers would be ambitious people who would like to start businesses, but perhaps don't have the capabilities to. Graduates and working class are among the demographic. Customers who have the ambition to would definitely pay money to start a business. I believe that this would be definitel...
