Custom Avatar (18A)
My customer avatar is a woman who came from another country while carrying her second child. When she arrived she got a college degree in the USA and then got a job to ease the burden of her husband and to enrich the lives of her two children. She has learned the necessities of everyday life such as learning when someone is trying to rip you off or whether the deal is fishy. Later on in her life she discovers the benefits of real estate and decided to get a second job based around real estate. When she isn't taking care of her family, she likes to watch dramas from her origin country, have some girl time with her friends, exercise, and generally plan her next move. She is a hard working individual who likes to teach her kids the skills she has gathered and the wisdom she has learned over the past 55 years. She feels like she is 70 years old when she is actually 15 years younger. She is always encouraging her children to get married and have kids so she can see her grandchildren. When she shops she is always looking for a good deal mostly because she isn't big on spending money, unlike her two children. She will always get her money's worth and if she spots something fishy from the merchant, she will call them out on it and never negotiates.
There aren't many similarities between me and this customer avatar. I don't have children nor do I work two jobs. I'm still learning how to tell when a deal sounds right, or when the merchant is trying to rip me off and more often than not, I get duped due to my naivete. However, I do look for deals than would benefit me, I am always willing to put my family first, I am shrewd with my money, and most importantly I'm always learning new skills that I can take to benefit myself. I do not think these are coincidences because I was taught since a young age that there is no free lunch, my student life now has shown me that I was very careless with money, and that I am now learning the hard way of what real life is like. Learning these things are bound to come when you've been given freedom from your parents and live independently.
