1. One thing that surprised me when reading about Ray Kroc was his inability to give up on his ambitions. His adamant behavior in business is a admirable quality of his for it shows that once he has a goal in mind, he won't stop until he achieves it. Seeing McDonalds as a potential business to expand across the nation, he set out a goal to acquire the small business chain at all costs. His ability to then acquire the required funds to do so was extraordinary to me as well because of short amount it took to accumulate the money. He did have flaws such as not trusting others, acting aggressive to those who don't agree with him, but I have more admiration than disappointment for a man of his caliber.
2. Ray Kroc was a competent man with the ability to identify opportunity, intelligent, hard working, and very tenacious with his ambitions.
3. There was nothing in the book Grinding It Out: The Making of McDonald’s, Ray Kroc that I found confusing or require further questioning due to the clear goals and motivations he laid out in text.
4. If you were to include the brothers in McDonalds, would you trust them to meet expectations you would lay for them?
What struck inside your head to understand that McDonalds has the potential to become a business model that would be mimicked by others could easily expand to other states.
I want to understand the mindset that Ray Kroc had so that I may be able to improve and learn new things that will help me in business.
5. Hard work would definitely be a motto that he would used to demonstrate that hard work is essential in business. When you want to be successful as he was, work hard and keep going is the way he did it.
